Product Verification
GUIDE
How to verify your device: scratch codes, QR checks and counterfeit red flags
Counterfeits follow volume, and high-capacity disposables are among the most copied products in Europe right now. Below is how to confirm a device in about a minute, brand by brand, using each manufacturer's own verification system — plus what a failed check actually means, and what we do about it.

A scratch-off panel, a security label or a QR code on the outer box.
Type the address yourself. Never trust a QR link you have not read.
Genuine, already checked, or unknown. Each one means something different.
MANUFACTURER CHECK
Enter your security code
Authorised UPENDS shop for Europe. The check runs on the same manufacturer system as upends.com — the result is identical.
Scratch off the panel first, then enter the 16 digits. Spaces don't matter. Not the S/N.
Brand-by-brand verification
Six brands, six different systems. Where a manufacturer runs a public portal we link straight to it; where it does not, we say so rather than invent a step.
A scratch-off panel on the outer box hides a security code. Enter it on UPENDS' own verification page.
Current production uses a photo check: photograph the code area on the box. Older stock carries a scratch-off QR with an alphanumeric code on a separate portal.
An anti-counterfeit label on the box. VOZOL accepts three routes: upload a photo of the label, type the security code, or scan the QR.
A security code printed on the packaging, checked on EBCREATE's own verification page.
Genuine JNR boxes carry a QR and an authentication label, but JNR publishes no public code-entry page. A QR that opens anything other than jnrvapor.com is a warning sign. We reconcile JNR stock by batch record instead.
Al Fakher does not operate a public security-code portal. Check the carton print, the batch code and the importer label, and keep the carton intact until the batch is reconciled.
What the result means
The code matches a production record. Screenshot the result: it is the evidence you will want if a warranty question comes up months later.
Someone verified this code before. Normal if your distributor or our warehouse scanned it; a problem if the box reached you sealed and nobody else had access.
Re-read the characters first — 0/O and 1/I are the usual mistakes. If it still fails, stop using the device and keep the packaging.
Counterfeit red flags
- Domain belongs to the brand
- Scratch panel intact
- Full code, sharp print
- Domain the brand does not own
- No panel, or already scratched
- Blurred print, short code
A QR code that resolves to a domain the brand does not own.
No scratch panel at all, or a panel already scratched on a new box.
Print that is blurry, mis-spelled, or peels away at the edge of the label.
A puff count or liquid volume the brand never made for that model.
A price far below the going rate — still the single strongest signal.
No importer name, address or batch code anywhere on the carton.
A device that rattles, leaks, or feels noticeably lighter than the one you had before.
A seller who cannot say where the stock came from.
If a code fails
Do not open the device to investigate, and do not keep vaping it while you wait for an answer.
- Keep the box, the insert and the code panel. The packaging is the evidence.
- Photograph the code panel, the carton batch code and the device itself.
- Message us on WhatsApp with your order number and the photos.
- We check the batch against our inbound records and come back the same working day.
- 1QR code
On the left of the black label. Your phone camera opens the check on upends.com.
- 2Scratch-off, then 16 digits
Silver layer at the bottom. Use a fingernail or a flat object — the 16 digits only appear after scratching. That is the code the verification field wants.
- 3Do not use
S/N (e.g. UPSX…), batch no., MFG/EXP and the long product ID (UPDX…) do not belong in the verification field.
For wholesale buyers
A carton is not a unit. Before dispatch we reconcile each carton against the invoice and the manufacturer's batch code, and we spot-check codes drawn from the carton rather than from a single sample unit. If you need the batch record for a shipment you already have, ask and we will send it.
One thing worth separating: authenticity is not market compliance. A genuine device still has to be notified for the market it is sold in — TPD notification in the EU, UKCA and MHRA notification in Great Britain. A passing code check says the device is real; it does not say the labelling is right for your country.
Verification links point to the manufacturers' own websites and can change without notice — if one is dead, tell us and we will find the current address. This page is a buying aid, not a legal certification of any product.
